UGG boots: black or chestnut?

im getting the TALL ugg boots... but should i get black or chestnut?
and which colour would you think would look better for the tall style? i see people wearing the tall chestnut ones make their ankles look huge.
or should i get the classic chestnut ones? which one do you like better?
and if you think uggs are uggly, the winters here in canada are brutal and those are the only keep-warm boots.
