Cheerleader Gogo
GO GO DANCING. anyone ever done it?
ok so has anyone ever done gogo dancing at a dance club. i dont mean a stripper I mean entertaining gogo dancing at dance clubs. they dress in like short skirts or shorts with bras and those big furry boots.
Im interested in getting into it. sounds fun. my parents are goin to like disown me if I do. im 24 year old female and I pay all my own bills. but theyll still be mad and wont talk to me they said.
I dont see what the big deal is. its really no differen than what the NFL cheerleaders wear and do. its not like its freakin stripping
has anyone ever been a gogo dancer. whats it like. how much money do they make and how do they get paid (tips or check?)

I am a Seattle Go Go Dancer, but really only for the rave scene since I am only 20.Can't go to bars D': It is a fun, exciting, and rewarding job. I personally enjoy it very much.
Usually how it works is you get hired by a Promoter or Club owner. You will set an amount you want to be paid or they will offer you an amount. Depending on the Promoter/Club Owner you will get paid before or after you dance. Never leave without getting paid. When you are just starting out though do not expect to get paid very much. Maybe 20-50 a night. I know it is low but people wont want to pay you a lot of money when you are so unexperienced. Look around on Myspace and stuff for Go Go Dancing crews in your area, message them and ask if they are doing auditions or if they could give you some tips.
If you find a go go crew make sure they are good dancers. We have a group of girls who I will never work with here. They dance like strippers and leave shows early and they barely dance for the most part. You do not want to be a part of a group like that.
Also forget about what your parents will think. You are 24 years old this is your life. Go Go Dancing is nothing like stripping in my opinion. Just remember when you get up there, you are there to pump the crowd and pretty much cheer for the DJ. It is like Cheerleading. Without the cheers haha.
