High Flat

i play piccolo and im having trouble consistently getting a high a flat out. suggestions?

i can get the high a flat out sometimes, but it isnt consistent. so i really need some help on what i can do to improve my range.

The piccolo is NOT just a small flute - it needs far more loving care. I suggest that you explore alternate fingerings - and also consider your embouchure. If I had to suggest a quick fix for that Ab - then I would say to add RH 3 and 4 to the fingering - the same fingers are then used on both hands. You can also check on www.wfg.woodwind.org. And - there are a lot of crappy piccs out there - if anything is the least bit out of adjustment, then your results will not be good.
