Did my best friend overreact to a picture of me wearing my flat cap backwards?

I had a picture of me in as Leather flat cap on backwards as I was drunk and it felt more comfy that way and my best friend who's a cap man himself seen the picture, called me the "Devil" and was very upset and defensive. He also called me a "flat cap traitor" Did he overreact? I dint usually wear caps like that.

Don't worry about it. Im sure he was just upset about something else and took it out on you. He might have been uncomfortable with the fact of you wearing something you don't normally wear. He might have thought you were suddenly changing on him or something like that and he didnt like it. Talk to him about it and let him know you werent doing it to change or anything. good luck:)
