the standing wraps and quilted lag wrap?
someone? i want my horse to be safe i know it'd be better to get shipping wraps, but i don't have the time to go to the store where they have them

Standing wraps should be fine IF you know how to apply them properly. I did not do the link thing because it would take far too long to load them (dial-up) but as I said, they should be fine. If you do the standing wraps correctly you would not need bell boots, but if you are using polos (which is fine if, again, applied properly) you probably won't be able to make them go that far down. In that case, use bell boots.

What breed is your horse? Average-sized QH = Medium. Any larger, Large. Considerably smaller, Small. Medium would probably be a safe choice.

The size will also depend on the horse's size. Measure the general area that the wraps will be applied to and use that measurement to decide on size.

I would just get the standing wraps and quilted leg wrap. If you are planning on using them to ship more than once, you may as well get the right stuff. But if this will be a pretty isolated haul, you would be fine using polos. You could put quilting under them or just use polos by themselves. If you use standing wraps, however, quilting must be used.

I cannot stress enough how wraps must be applied correctly. If they are not applied correctly you can cause tendon damage. If you don't know how to wrap, find someone experienced who can or just put bell boots on if your horse is an experienced hauler.

I've also found Schneiders to have quality products at economical prices.
