Do you wear socks or knee highs or nothing with short shaft boots that are sometimes called booties?

I like these pair of booties that are suede and they have a really short shaft. I was wondering what kind of socks you wear with them? Or just plain knee-highs?

its just like regular heels when it comes to wearing socks. NEVER do that.
