Side Zip

Side zip for some .. dresses especially the left .. How useful is this?

I have many short kurta and shirts that have left zips along. These closures are not fully in the length of the shirt, but only a few inches. I wonder about the purpose of this kind of thing? These closures are not intended for installation because they are short and only one side.

I believe zips are put to the dress "adjustment" depending on your body ... but my dresses have zippers long enough ... uh i guess zips may be short for minor adjustments - if the SIP is near the armpit, it might be better for an adjustment of the breast or if it is about the size and fit for a more hip ...
