Cleaning a faux suede jacket?

I bought a faux suede jacket from a consignment shop and it's REALLY pretty and nice. It's off white and I'd like to know the best way to wash it. The tag says I can "machine wash cold" but hubby suggests I don't. It cannot be dry cleaned. Should I just wash it down with a sponge or throw it in a pillow case to wash it in the washer?
BTW it also has faux fur too.

I am not sure, but washing it down with a sponge may leave a water mark on your jacket. If you try that, try it on a spot that doesn't show first. I recently purchased a real suede jacket from a thrift shop and it says machine washable. It is light tan. I think it would be better to wet the whole jacket in the gentle cycle of the wash than try to spot clean. That's what I plan to do. Good luck on this one.
